Happy Birthday Obama! or at least it was his birthday yesterday. I decided to do a quick (emphasis on quick) portrait of President Obama in celebration. I've been wanting to draw him for a while. I guess drawing him in November would have been cliche? This started off as a quick blue monochromatic portrait then i added some random splashes of orange and brown (maybe it was too much?) Either way this was fun to do. I might go back and finish it later on. I have other projects in mind right now and even a few I have already started including a portrait of Tito Puente. Keep an eye out for new updates from me! I'm going all out until school starts again in a few weeks.

I love the playfulness of this piece. yet the colors and cleanliness retains the feeling that hes still president and a professional. very adult/child feel. Keep up the good work.
Cool portrait Christian, I'm really liking how you caught the expression and characteristics of Obama's face using a flat shape painting technique.
